14-Sept-2010 In Vino Veritas - In Wine There is Truth (Calgary) In celebration of Alberta Arts Days, please join us for an enlightening panel on non-fiction.
inkPulse 2010, a Writing Camp for Teens inkPulse 2010 has now passed. Information on our 2011 camps will be posted in late April/May 2011. Stay tuned... What is inkPulse? inkPulse is an exciting and dynamic writing day camp for teens brought to you by the Writers Guild of Alberta. At inkPulse, we tap into your imagination through creation, collaboration and diversity! Talented Canadian artists join forces to bring you exciting lessons incorporating movement, sound, performance and writing exercises, all designed to inspire text creation. The days are jam-packed. You will work individually, in small groups and with the entire ensemble; classes are taught by individual instructors, pairs of teachers and the whole teaching team.
A Day at inkPulse Each day, we begin with a warm-up, designed not only to prepare you vocally and physically for the work, but also to spark your imagination and get your creativity flowing. Next, you will take part in a group writing activity, a class with a smaller group, and lunch. During the afternoon, participants have journaling time, take another small group class and attend a workshop hosted by a guest writer. Busy? You betcha! Our goal is to give you the opportunity to express yourself freely while you connect with other creative teens and meet brilliant Canadian artists and we want to squeeze the most out of every moment.
